C58-239 was restored from static preservation to operate the SL train on the Kamaishi Line as part of the reconstruction work following the Great East Japan Earthquake, and is used on the "SL Ginga" between Hanamaki and Kamaishi. The SL Ginga is scheduled to cease operation in the spring of 2023 due to the aging of the passenger cars it uses.
Minimum passing radius: C280 or more
When replacing the headmark base, please be careful not to damage the deflector section.
