Product Information

Starting as Projekt 1065 by Messerschmitt in 1939, the Me 262 became the world's first jet-powered aircraft when it entered into service towards the end of WW2 in 1944. The revolutionary design of the Me 262 made it faster than most prop-driven fighter aircraft but its impact on the WW2 conflict was minimal due to the low number produced. This highly recognisable WW2 RC warbird has now been reproduced in scale brilliance by E-flite with the UMX Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF, making it possible for RC pilots to fly this affordable high-performance, jet-driven RC plane.

Me 262 replica

Built to fly right out of the box, the UMX Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF is factory-assembled and features a premium paint scheme with decals that reflect the complex and unique ‘camo’ trim schemes featured on the full-scale version. Twin brushless power systems have been factory installed with 3S-compatible powerful outrunner motors engaging the 30mm fans for maximum output. Compared to previous UMX EDF models that featured 2S compatible and 28mm fans, this UMX Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF brings you even more vertical performance and blinding speed. Plus, you can enjoy longer than average flight times by installing LiPo batteries in the 600-850mAh 30+C range with an IC2 connector.

Enhanced Flight Experience with Exclusive Spektrum Technologies

Exclusive Spektrum technology is installed in the UMX Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF enhancing your flight experience and making it easier to stay airborne. AS3X technology makes hundreds of tiny adjustments behind the scenes as you fly helping to stabilise and smooth out your flying experience and reduce the effects of turbulence and wind, giving you a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger aircraft. SAFE Select is optional use, and when activated it has automatic self-levelling in case you get into trouble as well as pitch and bank angle limits. SAFE Select can be turned off with the flick of a switch if you are feeling confident and your flying skills improve. The flight controller/control unit on the UMX Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF are also equipped with a Spektrum ESC and receiver. With this technology, you are also capable of receiving real-time flight battery voltage and other telemetry data to compatible transmitters that have been equipped with the Spektrum AirWare app (these include the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, the iX12 to 20, and others).

Detailed Scale Design and Durable Construction

The UMX Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF is an ultra-micro-sized RC warbird, it can be flown in areas smaller than most EDF models can fly in. You can set up your Me 262 with a steerable nose wheel and fixed landing gear to take off and land on smooth surfaces. Alternatively, you can remove them and engage the automatic Hand Launch Assist mode if you're flying over grass and other rough but forgiving terrain.

UMX RC warbird

The scale detail on the fully moulded airframe of the UMX Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF is superb with a clear canopy and pilot figure, gun ports and other finishes that you would normally only find on larger RC planes. Composite reinforced EPS construction gives you a durable but lightweight airframe that makes repairs easier, with a full line of spare and replacement parts readily available.

If you're looking for a small-scale, performance-driven, high-speed, affordable and convenient flying experience, you can't go past the E-flite UMX Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF!

Bind-N-Fly Completion Level Advantage

Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!

Skill Level 2 – Some Experience Required

Skill Level 2 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and the skills to assemble, set up and/or fly similar class models. And, although this is the easiest-to-fly Me 262 model yet, it’s not a suitable first-ever RC aircraft for new pilots or a first-ever EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) jet model for intermediate to experienced RC pilots. You should have the experience and skills necessary to successfully fly simpler EDF models like the E-flite Habu SS (Super Sport) 50mm or 70mm before attempting to fly the UMX Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF.

Are you new to flying RC (Radio Controlled) aircraft? If you are, the UMX Me 262 is not a suitable first-ever RC model and we recommend learning to fly with one of our purpose-built trainer aircraft such as the E-flite Habu STS (Smart Trainer with SAFE) 70mm EDF. It's equipped with exclusive and innovative SAFE technology that makes it possible for almost anyone to learn to fly successfully! The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) Basic version includes almost everything needed to fly (except for a compatible LiPo battery and chargers that are sold separately, or together in a money-saving PowerStage bundle) and is a perfect choice if you're a new RC pilot.
