Impeccable scale detail

It’s tough to compete with a Pitts biplane, aviation critics around the world agree that once you fly one, it will spoil nearly all other aerobatic experiences. The first Pitt’s was flown almost 75 years ago and still to this day, the Pitts plans, kits and assembled biplanes are similar to the original and ground-breaking design. The E-Flite Pitts S-1S aircraft is a tribute to the original Curtis Pitts design that brings together the fantastic handling and authentic experience into one aircraft that any RC pilot can enjoy.

The meticulous detail in which the aircraft has been remastered in is impeccable, from the look of fabric covering to detents highlighting where panels and hatches are on the real aircraft this S-1S Pitts is a terrific scale model. The wedge-shaped fuselage is crowned with a scale spinner in a shape often found in high powered versions of the Pitts biplane, whilst the cockpit area is neatly finished with an enclosed canopy and accurate pilot figure. Also included in the box are optional flying wires for added scale looks, these are not needed for flight, however.

Brushless power system

Capable of insane vertical climbs, nauseating snap rolls, crisp rolls and accurate corners this Pitts S-1S from E-Flite is a no holds barred aerobat. The scale enthusiasts will appreciate its smooth flight performance and epic detail, while most everyone else will enjoy its insane power system. Readily equipped to take a 3s or 4s LiPo battery out of the box this park flyer is capable of producing stunning aerobatics and a performance level that is hard to beat. 

Fly SAFE with the AS3X Receiver

This Bind-N-Fly basic model is equipped with a factory fitted and tuned Spektrum 2.4ghz DSMX receiver that features the patented and proved AS3X technology. The AS3X (Artificial Stabilization – 3-axis) system is constantly working behind the scenes to dampen the effects of rough wind and turbulence to give the pilot a sense of accuracy and stability normally associated with a much larger model. Also included in the BNF version is the famous SAFE Select technology, this allows another level of protection for the pilot and ultimately gives you that extra security when trying to perform new maneuvers.

With SAFE Select enabled, you get: 

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits

These will keep the aircraft from excessive rolling and climbing / Descending meaning that the more beginner pilots are able to feel out the characteristics of this aircraft and still have the safety net of the bank limits.

Automatic Self-Levelling 

The aircraft instantly returns to a wing’s level situation when the sticks are released, this is super helpful during take-off and landings.

Easy switch assignment—no programming required 

The simple process for assigning a switch on the transmitter to turn on/off the SAFE functionality. This requires no extra programming and takes only a few seconds to complete.
