Since the departure of the ParkZone stryker which set the precedent for performance and value in this segment of product, the market has had a gap for a large performance flying wing. E-Flite Opterra Flying FPV Wing

Designers, Mike McConville and George Hicks, improved the basic aerodynamics of a flying wing to push the envelope of what is possible for a wing of this size. Whether your interest is in cruising a slope, flying fast, doing aerobatics or maybe some FPV, the inclusion of the winglets, central in-board fins, and advanced aerofoil section make any type of flying easy for the E-Flite Opterra.

It has also been designed with easy transportation in mind with a truly modular form with removable wings and winglets.

SAFE Technology included

Equipped with SAFE technology out of the box, you will enjoy flight envelope limits and AS3X stabilization to get rock-solid performance. This enables features like Virtual Fence and Holding Pattern. Plus, in the design the slow speed flight characteristics are further enhanced with the additions of vortex generators to “muddy” the airflow over the wing section.

Launch and Self-Level

Turn SAFE technology on or off to assist as necessary. When launching, much the same as with the Blade Theory W FPV wing, you are able to get the assistance of automatic self-levelling technology with the aircraft returning to level when the transmitter sticks are released.

FPV ready and film your fights

If you choose to go FPV, the E-Flite Opterra offers a multitude of camera mounting options and locations for your favourite flight or action camera. Or why not use your favorite Spektrum FPV camera to go FPV and also add your action camera to watch your flight exploits later. Plenty of room available for multiple cameras.
