In 2021, the large-scale Blackjack 42” was introduced to the long-running line of Pro Boat Blackjack RTR catamarans. With incredible styling and enhanced performance, this lifted the bar for the Blackjack RC catamarans. The backbone of this increased performance was the addition of Spektrum Smart technology. The enhancements built into the Blackjack 42” have now become available in the little brother, the Pro Boat Blackjack 24” Catamaran RTR. The redesigned Blackjack 24” is more affordable and boasts better performance and a sharper-looking livery.
High-Performance Brushless Power System
The top-of-the-line electronics that push the updated brushless power system in your Blackjack 24” include the Spektrum Firma 90A Smart ESC and the 2200Kv Spektrum Firma brushless motor. The Smart ESC will give you access to real-time telemetry data when using an optional Spektrum transmitter and receiver. That takes care of the Smarts, now for the power! The Pro Boat Blackjack 24” Catamaran RTR is 4S LiPo capable straight out of the box, which means you just need to hook up the right battery and you'll have more acceleration and speed at your fingertips than you'll know what to do with.
Innovative Strap, Slide, and Lock (SSL) Battery System
The other new innovative addition is the Pro Boat Strap, Slide and Lock (SSL) system. This system makes installing batteries in the Blackjack 24” quick and without hassles. To make battery installation even easier, two hard-mounted IC5 connectors are used in conjunction with the SSL system so you can slide the battery into place and plug it in using only one hand. The IC5 connectors also keep the wires safe and secure from potential hazards.
A “grease and go” system has been developed on the Pro Boat Blackjack 24” Catamaran RTR that simplifies the bushing lubrication process into three easy steps. Simply remove the prop strut plug screw, pump in your grease and then seal it back up. The grease will then pass right up to where it's needed via the prop strut and the stuffing tube.
Sleek and Vibrant Livery Options
With two new iconic liveries to choose from the Pro Boat Blackjack 24” Catamaran RTR has never looked so good. The Heat Wave livery allows you to show your colourful side with plenty of bright vibrancy that you won't miss on the water. The Blackjack livery is a sleek racing look that screams fast when you look at it.
It is inevitable that at some stage you will get a little bit of water in the hull of your Pro Boat Blackjack 24” Catamaran RTR. Although Spektrum receivers are water resistant, the exposed pins that accept the servo leads can become susceptible to connection issues if they do get wet. The receiver box installed on the Blackjack 24” keeps all moisture out of this crucial set of components.
Breakaway Rudder for Added Durability
When RC boats have accidents it is usually the rudder that cops it the worst. The Blackjack 24” is equipped with a breakaway rudder, designed to swing out if it makes contact with a solid object. This mechanism means that the rudder does not break off the hull and any damage caused to it is minimised. There are no screws involved, so if you are unlucky enough to have to utilise this mechanism, you simply push the rudder back in and tighten it up.
Precision Control with Spektrum SLT2 Transmitter
The transmitter included with the redesigned Pro Boat Blackjack 24” Catamaran RTR is an SLT2 Spektrum 2-channel transmitter that gives the driver everything they need for precision control. You can adjust the throttle and steering trims to reduce the power available or the sharpness of your turns. The design of the transmitter is such that the controls are where your fingertips would intuitively reach for quick access. You'll also get a boat stand with this kit to display or perform maintenance on this RC catamaran.
